DemoShots support
DemoShots is currently preparing for beta. These guides cover the local extension workflow and the most common recovery steps.
Install the extension from its Chrome Web Store listing, pin DemoShots to the Chrome toolbar, and select the icon to open the Recording Studio. The public listing link will appear here after the beta is approved.
Choose the current tab or Chrome’s protected tab, window, or screen picker. Camera, microphone, and source audio remain optional. Chrome blocks recording on restricted browser pages.
Use Stop and edit in the DemoShots toolbar popup, the pinned red recording tab, or the configured keyboard shortcut. The completed recording opens in the local editor.
Captions require a recording made with microphone capture enabled. On first use, choose Download model and keep the editor open while the Whisper model downloads and initializes locally.
Choose Export in the editor and keep the tab open until rendering finishes. Rendering is performed on your device, so long or high-resolution projects may take more time.
Delete a recording from the local recording library to remove its media and project. To remove all DemoShots data, remove the extension or clear its extension storage through Chrome.
Troubleshooting
Still stuck?
Email hello@demoshots.com with your Chrome version, the step that failed, and the exact error message. Do not send private recordings, passwords, or confidential page content unless support specifically asks for a safe sample.
